In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
EAMON, Janice Marie (Jan) (née MERNER) - Jan, 75, of Hammonds Plains, rejoined her late husband, Bob Eamon, and son, Adam, along with her parents, Lorna and Merton, on May 27, 2024, at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. She leaves great love behind for children, Michael and Laura, her son-in-law, Tim, her grandchildren, Lexy and Cassidy, and her siblings, Gar, Lorne, Colleen, Kelvin, and Dawn. Born and raised in Bayfield, Ontario, Jan served as a petty officer second class in the Royal Canadian Navy and then a civilian member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police comm centre. Jan found peace in retirement with time spent on quilts, cats, coffee, and friendships. Mum took great pride in the successes of her children: running businesses, graduating university, and raising families. Gramma Jan found great pleasure in watching her grandchildren grow into the most beautiful young women. She was a safe space and allowed everyone to truly be themselves around her. She was strength personified, and she will be deeply missed and fondly held in our hearts forever. The family will receive visitors Monday, June 3, 2024, from 5-7pm in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Road, Upper Tantallon. Any donations can be made in Jan's memory to the Nova Scotia SPCA for cat care.
