John enlisted in the RCNVR 14 Jul 1941. He is buried in the Second Peninsula Cemetery, Second Peninsula, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia.
John's brothers Randolph Rhodenizer and William Rhodenizer and their cousin Wilfred James Stevens also served in the Navy.
