JENSEN, Jens Christian - 89, Hatchet Lake, formerly of Halifax, died December 11, 1995 at home. Born in Rudkøbing, Denmark, he was a member of Mulgrave Park Baptist Church. He was a lifetime member of the White Ensign Legion and former member of their Masonic lodge. He was the oldest surviving member of the Royal Canadian Navy Reserve. Prior to retirement, he was employed at HMC Dockyard as a machinist and also by Colines Machine Ship as a commissionaire. Surviving are his wife, the former Frances I. Young; daughters, Donna (Mrs. Henry Marchand), Deborah (Mrs.. Bernard Rogers), Halifax; sons, Ernest, Hatchet Lake; Gregory, Vancouver; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife; son, George. Visitation 7-9 p.m. only tonight and Wednesday in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday in Mulgrave Park Baptist Church, Rev. Stephen Hopper officiating. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Family flowers only.
