In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
Joseph REIL (Joe) was born on February 5, 1927 in Ryley, Alberta, Canada. Joe was the first and only child born to Joseph REIL (Sr) and Lucinda BRUBACHER. Sadly, Joe's mother, Lucinda, died giving birth to him. Joseph Sr was unable to care for him and therefore the infant Joe was raised by his paternal grandparents. When he was age 18, Joe joined the Royal Canadian Navy and was employed there until his retirement. On Nov 26, 1955, age 28, he married Georgina Corrins. They moved to Victoria, British Columbia and lived in the Esquimalt area. They had 2 children - Sharren and James.
