Died: 1970. Ponteix, Saskatchewan, Canada

 

BLEAU, Louis (Red) - was born in 1921 to Jean Baptiste and Apoline Bleau in Ponteix, SK. He completed his schooling to grade 12 in Val Marie, SK. In 1941 he moved to Windsor, ON where his older brother John Paul lived. He met Adeline Cleverley in 1941 while boarding at her mother's place and in 1943 they married. He joined the RCNVR in 1942 and served in the corvette HMCS Fredericton during the Battle of the Atlantic. Louis died at his home in Ponteix, SK in April of 1970.

HMCS AVALON - Drafted to AVALON 16 Aug 1943
