In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
BOYD, Richard Michael - of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the age of 77 years.
He is survived by his daughter Kelly, son-in-law Grant, grandchildren, Grayson and Hunter; his son Rick Boyd, and his brother-in-law Bob Miletic.
He will be sadly missed and remembered by his friends and family, as well as his Royal Canadian Navy crewmates; HMCS Kootenay (DDE 258).
Per Richard’s final wishes, a funeral service will not be held. Instead, please pour a pint or grab a bottle of Coors Light and cheers his life and memory.

Ships served in: HMCS KOOTENAY - Rick was serving in KOOTENAY as a LS.ST at the time of the explosion.
