THRASHER, Gordon - Passed away peacefully at Richmond Terrace on Thursday November 21, 2013 at age 75. Predeceased by his parents Devere Thrasher and Irene Richard. Beloved husband of Marilyn (Bondy). Dearest father of Laurie (Randy) Ure, Gerry (Stacey) Thrasher, and Karen (Tony) Rosati. Loving Pops of David (Enna), Michael and Christina Ure, Trisha and Trevor Thrasher, and Frankie and Matthew Rosati. Survived by his siblings Mary Jane Waugh, Bill, Les (Carolyn), Patricia Dean, and David (Dorothy); brother-in-law to Barbara Deneau, Richard (Connie) Bondy, Nancy Langlois, and Keith (Dianna) Bondy. Predeceased by 7 brothers, and 3 sisters. Will sadly missed by several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held at James H. Sutton Funeral Home, 401 Sandwich St. S. Amherstburg 519-736-2134 on Monday from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. K. of C. Council 2110 service with parish prayers 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the Funeral Home, on Tuesday from 9:00am until 9:45am then procession to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, River Canard for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Cremation to Follow. Special Thank you to the Staff at Richmond Terrace for the excellent care and kindness given to Gord and our family. Gordon's brother Jack was a member of the Dam Buster Squadron during the Second World War.
