THRASHER, Marwin Abe - 87 years, on August 25, 2011 at Leamington District Memorial Hospital. Abe has been reunited with the love of his life, Eleanor (nee Deneau) with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Loving father of Dennis Michael (Carol) and Marcia Anne (Dan) Bebbington. Beloved grandfather "Pip" of Ellyn Michelle (Scott), Mark Wehrmeister, Michelle Theresa (John), Dennis Michael II (Caitlyn), Kathleen (Alister), Stephanie (Bill) and Rick, and great grandfather to Robert, Gary, Maura, Isabella Rose, Mason, Ella, and Kathleen Carolynn. Dear brother of Elaine Temesy, Mary Jane Waugh, Patricia Dean, William "Bill", Leslie, Gordon and David Thrasher. Predeceased by his parents Charles "Devere" & Irene, his siblings John "Jack" Thrasher, Richard "Dick" Thrasher, Raymond "Mike" Thrasher, Peter Thrasher, his twin Martha Wilford, Beverly Nimigon, and 2 infant brothers Daniel and Jerry. Abe was a Veteran of WWII R.C.N.V.R., he retired as Chief Excise Officer for Canada Customs after 35 years of service. Visitation will be at the James H. Sutton Funeral Home, 401 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg (519-736-2134) on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m., with R.C.L. Br.157 Prayers at 7:30 p.m. and Parish Prayers at 8 p.m. Further visitation on Monday, August 29, 2011 from 9 -10 a.m. We will then proceed to St. John the Baptist Church for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery. In kindness, memorial donations made to the CNIB would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Abe in the Sutton Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on Sept. 25, 2011.
