VANASSE, Jean Marie (John) - died February 16, 1994, in Victoria General Hospital. Born in Maskinonge, Que., he was a son of the late Armand and Agnes (Lesage) Vanasse. He served in the Canadian Navy during the Second World War, retiring from the forces in 1966. He operated a successful catering business in the metro area for many years. He is survived by his wife, the former Lydia Cote; three daughters, Gail, Dartmouth; Jo-Ann, Linda, both of Ottawa; four brothers, Jean Paul, Gilles, both of Montreal; George, Prouxville, Que.; Bernard, Maskinonge; two sisters, Ghislaine, Claire, both of Quebec; two grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive visitors 7-9 p.m. tonight in J. Albert Walker and Sons Funeral Home, Dartmouth. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Dartmouth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any charity.
