BRYANS, John Elwood - Funeral service for John E. Bryans, 82, 745 Martin Ave, who died Thursday in Academy Road annex hospital, will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. Burial will be in the military plot of Elmwood cemetery. Rev. E. E. Baskier will officiate. (The Winnipeg Tribune 25 Oct 1946)
John enlisted in the C.E.F. on 21 Sep 1915 in Winnipeg, MB. He was discharged 06 Apr 1916 due to being medically unfit.
