EVANS, Curt Troy - After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Curt Evans (52) passed away surrounded by his loving family on September 22, 2024.

 

Curt will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lisa (Sampson) Evans of 21 years, his two children Kaylee and Jacob, who he adored and was so proud of. His parents Don and Carol (Doiron) Evans of Kensington PE, brother Darrell (Marlene) Evans, nephews Zachary & Carson Evans, niece Maren Evans, father and mother-n-law Lloyd (Glenda) Sampson as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

 

Predeceased by Grandparents John (Jack) and Catherine (Kate) (MacLellan) Evans, Aubin and Bertha (Rust) Doiron, brother-in-law Lloyd Sampson Jr., cousins Winston Evans, Anne Whiteway, uncles Harold Evans, Ron Doiron and Fred Doiron.

 

After graduation from Kensington High School (PEI), Curt proudly served the Military for 28 years as a Supply Tech, followed by the Hazardous Materials Warehouse Manager for 5 years at DND. It’s Curt’s strong work ethics, gentle demeanor, and fair mindedness that made him highly thought of by his co-workers and shipmates. Curt will forever be remembered for his kind and loving heart, his love of Guinness, The Simpsons and most of all his love of sports. You name it, he watched it, except maybe soccer.

 

A celebration of Curt's life is being held on October 1st, 6-8pm at the Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street Dartmouth N.S. The family welcomes donations to the I.W.K Hospital in lieu of flowers.

 

Curt’s family on the Island would like to invite family and friends for a celebration of Curt's life which will be on Thursday October 3, 2024 at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
