HOWE, Charles Arthur - 75, Dartmouth, died January 23, 1993, at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late William and Daisy (Hiles) Howe. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving for 25 years with the Royal Canadian Navy. He is survived by his wife, the former Muriel Moir; daughter, Dorothy (Mrs. James Burns), Dartmouth; son, Wayne, Calgary, Alta.; six brothers, Lawrence, Garfield, William (Billy), Brian, George, all of Dartmouth; Gordon, Great Village, Colchester County; two sisters, Violet (Mrs. Irving Whynot), Don Mills, Ont.; May (Mrs. Gordon Ritchie), Dartmouth; four grandchildren. The body is in Atlantic Funeral Home, 767 Main St., Dartmouth, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Laird Sterling officiating. Burial will be in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Stairs Memorial United Church Memorial Fund.
