FERNAND RINFRET / HC 46

M/B FERNAND RINFRET was a Preventive Service vessel that was turned over to the RCMP 1932. She was attached to "G" Division and worked out of the Gaspe Region of Quebec. In 1939 she was turned over to the RCN as FERNAND RINFRET from 1939 to 1942 when she was re-designated HC 46. She was declared surplus and turned over to CAAC on 23 July 1945. Named by Customs Department after Fernand Rinfret; Montreal Journalist, author, and politician who was Canada's Secretary of State in 1929 (Ship's history from the research of Bryon Taylor)
