SNOW PRINCE

Tender

SNOW PRINCE (former fishing vessel Snow Prince) was listed as a tender to HMCS GIVENCHY from 29 Jun 1940 to 16 Sep 1941. She was then transferred to the RCAF where she had pendant numbers M.348 and B152 . In addition, every vessel in the RCAF from a canoe to a freighter had an M number. They used M.1 to M.1011. During WWII, the RCAF realized the Navy had issued M numbers as well so they gave the larger RCAF marine craft a B number so they would still be known as a small warship and so they would not be confused with the navy's M numbers.
