GWENNITH
Tugboat
GWENNITH was a tug that served in the RCN in World War I. In early 1918 (Feb or Mar), GWENNITH, under command of Skpr Isaiah Horton, had a minor collision with HMCS CD 4. After the BOI, it was determined that the GWENNITH was was fault and her skipper informed of the boards decision. On 08 May, 1918, GWENNITH was transferred from Halifax to HMCS LANSDOWNE, the newly established RCN base at Sydney, NS. and operated from there until cessation of hostilities. After the war, GWENNITH was returned to Halifax.
