Born: 27 Jun 1913, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

 

Died: 30 Mar 1992, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

 

LCdr Frederick Webb's brother, LS Horace Webb,  died in the sinking of HMCS MARGAREE during the Second World War.  His son, MS Frederick Leslie Webb joined the RCN in 1959 and served for 20 years.

 

 

WEBB, Frederick Arthur Henry - joined the RCNVR in 1932 as an Ordinary Seaman and served in HMCS Armentieres. In 1938 he transferred to the RCN serving in HMCS Ottawa, HMCS Skeena, HMCS Restigouche, HMCS Athabaskan, HMCS Fort Erie and HMS Glory. He was appointed as a CPO Torpedo Gunner's Mate,  Commissioned from the ranks (CFR) in 1949, he later served at HMS Vernon, HMCS Naden, HMCS Stadacona and in HMCS Beacon Hill and HMCS Fraser. He retired on 27 Jun 1965.
