JONES, Hugh John Frederick, PO, 2568, RCN, MPK - 19 Oct 1940, HMCS BRAS D'OR - Born 19 Jan 1911, he was the son of Hugh and Lilla Jones, of Montreal, Quebec. Husband of Jean Marguerite Jones of Halifax, NS.

On 19 Aug 1936 LS Jones was commended for high degree of gallantry and seamanship when, as a member of the whaler crew from HMCS SAGUENAY proceeded to the rescue of the 1st Motor Boat of HMCS SAGUENAY at Saint Helier, Jersey Islands
