KILN, Alec Ronald, LS, 2224, RCN, MPK - 20 Dec 1942, HMCS BRANDON - son of Harry and Mary Kiln, Weymouth, Dorsetshire, England; husband of Edith Evelyn Kiln, Halifax, NS.
Leading Seaman A. R. Kiln died when he fell overboard between 19:30 and 20:00 hours on the night of December 20, 1942, whilst HMCS Brandon was escorting the Iceland portion of convoy 112. An investigation showed he fell over the side by accident and was drowned, in the execution of his duty.
