HUGHES, David Anderson, LSA, RCNVR, MPK - 16 Apr 1945, HMCS ESQUIMALT - Son of Edwin and Isabel Hughes, of Dundas, Ontario.
LSA Hughes died when his ship, HMCS ESQUIMALT, was torpedoed and sunk by U-190 off the approaches to Halifax harbour.
David Hughes' brother, Robert Alexander Hughes, died in the sinking of HMCS SPIKENARD
