NASH, Robert Arthur, SLt, O-54790, RCN, killed - 29 Apr 1944, HMCS ATHABASKAN - Son of Thomas Arthur and Amy Blanche Nash, of Seattle, Washington, U.S.A.
SLt Nash died when his ship, HMCS ATHABASKAN, was torpedoed and sunk in the English Channel on 29 Apr 1944. His body was recovered and he was buried in the Plouescat Communal Cemetery, Finistere, France. The province of Alberta honoured Sub-Lieutenant by naming Nash Lake in his honour.
