SAMPSON, Francis Leonard, AB QR III, V174, RCNVR, killed - 29 Apr 1944, HMCS ATHABASKAN - Son of Frances and Minnie Sampson; husband of Dorothy M. Sampson, all of Halifax, Nova Scotia
AB Sampson died when his ship, HMCS ATHABASKAN, was torpedoed and sunk in the English Channel on 29 Apr 1944. His body was recovered and he was buried in the Plouescat Communal Cemetery, Finistere, France.
