KAPASI, Sandor Al - Suddenly with his loving family on March 29, 2010 at 83 years of age. Beloved husband of Irene. Cherished father of Sandor and Sue, Kenneth, Brenda and Michael, Michael and Luann, Judy and Gary, Mary and Ron and Amy, Mark and Stanly. Loving grandpa to 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Margaret and Mary and the late Peter. Dear brother-in-law of Helen Moroun. Al served with the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII. He was employed with New York Central Railroad for 20 years and retired from Chryslers after 25 years of service. If you so desire, donations to the charity of your choice or the Hungarian Cultural Centre (Mindszenty Hall) would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Thursday 3-5 & 7-9pm. Ships served in: HMCS ESQUIMALT - Al had been drafted off the ESQUIMALT before her final voyage on 16 Apr 1945, however, his good friend and shipmate Kenneth Smith was on board ESQUIMALT that day and did not survive the sinking. Al named his second son Kenneth in honour of his friend who did not survive the war.
