ISLANDER / HC 51
Harbour Craft
In October 1933, the seized vessel Fripon was purchased from the Department of National Revenue and renamed RCMP Islander. She was transferred to the RCN in 1939 and became ISLANDER. She was employed her as a harbour craft at Sydney NS. She sank due to fire after explosion on September 05, 1942. She was raised and repaired on September 06, 1942. In 1943 she was re-designated HC51. She was declared surplus and turned over to CADC on 03 Oct 1945 (Ship's history from the research of Bryon Taylor)
