These photo collections are somewhat unique in their content and have have been posted here to tell their story on the RCN
Photo collections: Annie Campbell photo collection - photos from the First World War Capital Iron and Metal - photos of ships from the Second World War being broken up Gary Hopkins, Submariner - A collection of newspaper articles, sketches, and photos from his career in RN and RCN subs. Joseph Barr Champion Collection - A historical collection of photos and documents from the life of Joseph Barr Champion, RNCVR, RCN, RAN(R), Master Mariner Mary Lannon collection - photos of sailors during the Second World War Nick's photo collection - from his time on HMCS ONTARIO during the Second World War Robert Hamilton (Bob) Webster, Petty Officer, RCNVR - Bob Hamilton's photo collection is not the usual collection. While its from Robert's collection, the majority of the photos appear to have been taken by Roberta (Bobbi) Webster or her mother. During the Second World War, Roberta and her mother hosted Royal Navy sailors and Roberta's mother would send photos and letters to their families in England letting them know they were doing. After the war, Bob and Bobbi kept in touch with many of families. A large number of photos in this album are of sailors from the RN and this album may be of interest to those researching RN sailors who were in Canada during the war. Theodore (Ted) Lepage, OBE, Salvage Officer, RCNVR - During the Second World War, LCdr Theodore (Ted) Lepage, OBE, RCNVR served as a Salvage Officer, primarily in the UK and Mediterranean waters. This photo album is a record of that service with numerous photos of ships salvaged along with various newspaper articles on himself and his fellow salvage officers. This album is part of the the collection of William Lilbourne and he has shared it here for posterity's sake. William D. Johnston, Ldg Stoker, RNCVR - photos from William time in Halifax during the First World War - including damaged from the Halifax Explosion; various ships in harbour; and crew photos of various harbour craft William Lilbourne Collection - photos of various ships and sailors - most unknown, from the collection of William Lilbourne. William is a collector of Naval / Military Memorabilia.
